PRESENT SIMPLE VS PRESENT CONTINUOUS

 PRESENT SIMPLE (RUTINE):

Usually on Thursday evenings at 6 o'clock, the Jones family likes to do different activities. For example: Mr. Jones makes dinner while Mrs. Jones paints a picture, Ben and Sue do their homework while their sister Ann reads her favorite book.

PRESENT CONTINUOUS (NOW):

At this time the Jones family are doing their favorite activities. Mr. Jones and Mrs. Jones are listening to their favorite pop songs, while their children Ben and Sue are having fun playing and Ann is watching her favorite TV show.
